There is news about the Pakistan Super League (PSL) players draft. At first it was decided that the players draft will be at an international venue like England or Dubai but soon Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) changed its mind and then it was decided that the players draft will be in Lahore.
Initially the draft was decided January 11, 2025 at Gwadar Balochistan but after some issues like difficulties of overseas coaches to reach in Gwadar and travel advisories the draft had been changed and (PCB) rescheduled the event in January 13, 2025 at historical Huzoori Bagh within Lahore Fort.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to promote the cricket across Pakistan that why (PCB) has decided to host players draft in Lahore Pakistan. All the matches of (PSL) season are even scheduled in Pakistan.
The reason for this is that PCB wants to demonstrate Pakistan’s cricketing culture to the world. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) even wants to show the world that in Pakistan there is not any security issue to the overseas cricketer.
International players like Australia’s David Warner and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson are the top players who are selected to play in PSL which is going to be held in Lahore Pakistan. It is a very good decision to draft players in Pakistan as it is the best chance to promote Pakistan culture to the world.
In past there was some political issue as well as some security problem for the international cricketers but now it is best chance to show the world that Pakistan is the safest country for international players.
At the end, I must say at first the players plot was decided in England and Dubai but then suddenly Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to set the plot in Pakistan.
